Our story

The “Oikonomakis Salads” company was founded in 1984 by Emmanuel Oikonomakis.

It specializes in salad and sauce production and it is the first and only company in Crete which has been active in this sector from the time of its establishment to today.

2004 was a landmark year for OIKONOMAKIS A. E., as it was moved to self-owned, modern and functional 1000m2 facilities in Foinikia, in Heraklion, Crete. While our facilities became bigger, our production equipment was modernized, our distribution network expanded and our collection of products multiplied, one principle remained the same: We aim to please even the most demanding of palettes.

This is why we continue to explore contemporary flavor trends, to create pure and unique flavors that meet the needs and demands of our customers, whether they be professionals or private consumers.

We move forward with our experienced and expertly trained staff, our use of certified production processes since 2004, with a Quality Management System (ISO) and a Food Safety Management System (HACCP), our flawless management of materials and technical factors which could affect the quality and safety of our products and our strong partnerships. We respect our history, our colleagues and, of course, our thousands of consumers who consciously choose OIKONOMAKIS A. E. products.
